JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The position ofBoard CertifiedBehavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervisor is directly supervised by the Assistant Superintendent of Program for Students with Exceptionalities. This position is primarily responsible for supervising all EAIV paraprofessionals, implement professional development, certify EA-IV Registered Behavior Technicians, and support teachers of students exhibiting high level of disruptive behaviors in the classroom. The role of EA-IV's is primarily focusedinthe Emotional Support classrooms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and assist EA-IV paraprofessionals- Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) in fulfilling the duties of the Registered Behavior Technician.
- Train staff in behavior management techniques, collect and analyze data, and recommend behavioral interventions.
- Provide professional development to staff throughout the school year.
- Monitor certification of Registered Behavior Technicians (EA-IV paraprofessionals)
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure continuity of services as described in the IEP.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques including restraints following procedures from crisis intervention trainings.
- Assist in development and evaluation of educational materials
- Prioritize and respond effectively to behavioral referrals after initial interventions and data collection have occurred.
- Provide consultation to teams if ongoing supports and services are being unsuccessful, or if the student's behaviors are unusual in form or intensity.
- Collaboratively develop supports, strategies, and training materials to ensure that building teams are using effective, research based interventions in supporting students with social emotional needs and behaviors challenges.
- Facilitate and coach teams through the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments/behavior intervention plans and crisis plans for special education students referred for an evaluation.
- Consult with building teams to develop or to revise behavior plans.
- Review and summarize data collected during the implementation of behavior plans, and make recommendations for adjustments to the supports and strategies being implemented.
- Collaborate with the building's service team including parents and outside agencies when a student exhibits severe behavior problems in the school environment.
- Travel to school sites as required for observations, interviews, intervention implementation, integrity checks, staff training, and follow up procedures.
- Any other duty within the domain if behavioral supports as described by the Executive Director of PSE.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED
- Certification of Board Certified Behavior Analyst and meet the Supervision training that meets the Standards for Supervision Requirements to supervise either BCBAs or RBTs.

Work Environment:
- 1. Frequently required to work at fast pace.
- 2. Required to be able to physically implement restraints as directed through specific restraint training when a student is in danger of hurting self or others.
