AIMS programs in Bronx, NY seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for a school-based role. You will write assessment reports, conduct FBAs, develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans, and train staff in ABA techniques across multiple sites.

Requires a Master’s in ABA or related field and active BCBA certification, with experience supporting autistic learners and collaborating with families. In-person work in New York is expected, with travel between locations.

Client Needs

Some students have ASD, intellectual disabilities, behavioral disabilities, other disabilities, or may not yet be identified with any disability.

$75 - $95 per hour.

Brief Overview

AIMS programs is an early childhood program offered in grades kindergarten to second. It provides a small class setting of 6 autistic learners, who have intensive support needs in areas related to learner readiness, language, communication, activities of daily living and behavior.

Schedule

15 hrs per week until 6/30/2026, then 30-35 hrs per week from 8/24/26-6/30/27

Position Description & Qualifications

• Writes assessment reports based on initial assessment including behavior support recommendations.
• Collaborates with school teams and families in the development of behavior support strategies.
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Writes reports and develops Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Develops data collection forms.
• Trains staff in implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans and recommended strategies and monitors implementation.
• Conducts staff training on topics in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Monitors and provides support for staff in the use of ABA strategies and procedures.
• Participates in regularly scheduled Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings at schools and initial student interviews/assessments.
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress. Provides ongoing support one-on-one or in a small group setting in one or more schools.
• Reviews skill acquisition and behavior data on a regular basis.
• Modifies Behavior Intervention Plans and skill programs as needed.
• Coordinates/Collaborates with the Special Education Coordinator and central office personnel regularly.
• Assists with development of materials for behavior support and skill training.
• Supports school teams at Individualized Education Plans (IEP) meetings as needed to review progress, data, and develop IEP goals.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills in working with a variety of team members.
• Supervises BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts) and RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) when applicable.
• Complies with all rules and regulations set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.
• Writes assessment reports based on initial assessment including behavior support recommendations.
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Writes reports and develops Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Develops data collection forms.
• Maintain quality standards in regard to HIPPA compliance.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, of all ages.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in the US.
• Ability to relocate or travel to office location (in person required).
• Active Board certification - passed the BACB exam for behavior analysts.
• Licensure details if needed get added here!
• Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, education, or related field.
• Current 8-hour supervision certificate - certified to provide supervision to RBT’s and has supervisory experience. Experience utilizing behavioral skills training.
