Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Makawao, Maui
Healthcare | Makawao, HI | Part-Time | Up to $70/hr (Full-time may be available)
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), design behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and provide direct therapeutic services for children with autism.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral strengths and challenges.
- Analyze assessment data to determine the function of problem behaviors and identify areas for intervention.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings and behavior analysis principles.
- Design interventions that target specific behaviors and teach alternative skills.
- Train and supervise behavior technicians, caregivers, and other professionals in implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to intervention strategies as needed.
- Collect and analyze data on behavior targets to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Use data to make data-driven decisions and modify intervention plans as necessary.
- Follow all rules and regulations of each insurance company to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care, consistency in interventions strategies, and effective communication.
Requirements
- Pediatric therapy experience (1 year preferred but not required).
- BCBA degree with active license in the United States (will need to obtain license in Hawaii).
- Live on the island or willing to relocate to Maui from within the U.S.
- Strong communication skills.
