Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Job description

Orange County, CA | Full-Time | $68,000–$90,000 DOE

Overview

At Innovate ABA, we’re not your average ABA company. We’re BCBA-owned and operated, which means we actually get it. We know what it’s like to manage a caseload, support RBTs in the field, and partner closely with families, because we’ve been there. No corporate layers. No private equity pressure. Just clinicians building high-quality care, the right way.

We specialize in evidence based, compassionate care, and are known for pairing strong clinical standards with flexible, family-centered service delivery. Our clinic serves as a home base for collaboration, mentorship, and resources, while our in-home team delivers impactful care where it matters most: in children’s natural environments.

As we expand our in-home services across Orange County, we’re looking for BCBAs who want meaningful clinical work, strong team connection, and room to grow.

The Role: BCBA Clinical Mentor (In-Home Focused)

This role is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys working directly with families in home settings while still being deeply connected to a clinic-based team. As a Clinical Mentor, you’ll support a balanced in-home caseload, mentor RBTs working in the field, and collaborate with clinic leadership to maintain high clinical quality across settings.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role with flexibility built in, designed for BCBAs who want impactful work without burnout.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality ABA supervision and clinical oversight for in-home clients. Maintain a weekly billable expectation of approximately 27 hours within a 40-hour M–F schedule
  • Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and parent training in home and/or clinic environments
  • Mentor and guide RBTs delivering in-home services
  • Use the clinic as your home base for collaboration, materials, meetings, and professional support
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with speech and other clinical teams
  • Contribute ideas to improve systems, training, and the growth of our in-home services across Orange County
Benefits
  • BCBA-Owned & Operated: Leadership understands in-home work because we’ve done it.
  • Clinic Home Base: You’re never “on your own” in the field, the clinic is your hub.
  • Flexibility Built In: Thoughtful scheduling, virtual supervision options when appropriate, and respect for your time.
  • Paid Admin Time: Documentation and planning time are built into your workday.
  • Mentorship Role: Support and develop RBTs while strengthening your own leadership skills.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities to grow into senior clinical or regional leadership as services expand.
  • Culture that Works: Supportive, organized, and clinician-first — always.
  • $68,000–$90,000/year (depending on experience)
  • Clear growth pathways into leadership and multi-site roles
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Unlimited PTO and paid sick time
  • Paid CEUs and regular in-house training
  • A strong voice in shaping how our in-home services grow
Qualifications
  • A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with at least 1 year of experience
  • Comfortable and confident working in home-based settings
  • Passionate about mentoring RBTs and partnering with families
  • Organized, communicative, and values clinical quality
  • Looking for a long-term role with flexibility, support, and growth
