Job summary

Applied ABC Maryland seeks a Clinic BCBA to manage an active caseload, provide supervision to ABA therapists, and develop evidence-based treatment plans for children with autism across age groups. The role includes travel to client sites as needed and ongoing family training to support goals.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a $5,000 relocation bonus, with a hybrid or in-person work model at our Silver Spring center. A MD LBA and BCBA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate
• State Licensure - MD LBA
• Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
• Current 8-hour supervision certificate (supervise RBTs)
• Experience with VB-MAPP, Vineland and ABLLS assessments
• Ability to create/update treatment plans
• Experience with family training, social skills groups, and supervision
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder clients of all ages and levels
• Relocation or travel to office or client locations as required

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active caseload with 120 billable utilization hours per month (includes supervision, treatment planning, and parent training)
• Provide supervision to ABA therapists and BTs/RBTs as needed
• Lead or participate in supervision using behavioral skills training techniques
• Administer and interpret skills assessments and related preference/reinforcer assessments
• Develop behavior support plans based on clients’ needs
• Coordinate with families and conduct family training sessions
• Set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing data accuracy
• Attend team meetings and report on current behavior levels
• Lead in crisis situations using behavior analytic principles
• Adapt to policy and procedure changes while maintaining clinical standards
• Uphold Applied ABC’s holistic and individualized clinical approach

• Hold a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field

• Current 8-hour supervision certificate (certified to provide supervision to RBT’s and has supervisory experience)

• Experience with utilizing behavioral skills training

• Experience creating behavior support plans

• Ability to administer various skills assessments such as VB-MAPP, Vineland and ABLLS (all assessment tools)

• Knowlege on how to create and update treatment plans

• Experience with conducting family training, social skills groups and supervision

• Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder of all ages and levels

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (for travel when required)

• Ability to work in the US

• Ability to relocate or travel to office or clients location (if required for position/client need)

Position Description:

• Clinic BCBA will maintain an active caseload and meet 120 billable utilization hours per month which includes supervision, treatment planning, BTM (treatment planning with face-to-face component, Parent Training, etc. Travel is acknowledged, but not billable. (Up to 10 hours per week).

• Clinic BCBA will support their caseload by providing behavior analytic supervision to ABA therapists.

• BCBA may be providing supervision for BT’s or RBT’s working 1:1 with students, delivering evidence-based supervision techniques such as behavioral skills training.

• BCBA may not only need to administer skills assessments, but also preference, and reinforcer assessments.

• BCBA will provide programming to support the students to achieve their treatment goals.

• BCBA will be required to create behavior support plans, based on the clients’ individual needs and behaviors.

• Additionally, considerations should be made for families and their level of experience, for family training sessions.

• Family training targets may need to be explicitly written and explained to those who have little to no experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis.

• BCBA will set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing and accurate data collection is occurring consistently.

• BCBA will attend team meetings for coordination of care as requested by the family and be prepared to report on current levels of behaviors.

• BCBA must be comfortable leading others in behavior crisis situations, utilizing behavior analytic principles.

• BCBA will need to hold the ability to be flexible and accommodating for companies updates in changes to policies and procedures and work-related expectations.

• BCBA will uphold Applied ABC’s core principles, of providing the best possible clinical techniques with a holistic and individualized approach to achieve ideal clinical outcomes.
