Job summary

A pediatric therapy clinic in Detroit is looking for a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to supervise ABA Technicians and develop individualized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have BCaBA certification and strong leadership skills. This full-time role offers a supportive environment with competitive pay and benefits, including a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide expert supervision and guidance to ABA Technicians.
• Train staff and parents on individualized IPOS and behavior treatment plans.
• Develop tailored skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans.
• Monitor and adjust behavior plans based on child’s progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including weekly supervision notes.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments at intake and every six months.

Your Impact

As a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will:

• Provide expert supervision and guidance to ABA Technicians, ensuring high-quality client care.
• Train and educate staff members and parents on individualized IPOS and behavior treatment plans before service initiation.
• Develop tailored skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support each child’s unique needs.
• Continuously monitor and adjust behavior plans to align with the child’s progress and evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including weekly supervision notes detailing progress, goals, and behavior data.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments (ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, PEAK, etc.) at intake and every six months, documenting findings in the electronic medical record.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and training workshops to promote professional growth and best practices.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Active & Engaged Work — Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level.
• Hands-On Support — Lifting up to 50+ lbs may be required.
• Quick Reflexes — Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions.
• Loud or Noisy Environments — Working with active children in dynamic settings.
• Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids — Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.

Schedule

• Your day-to-day schedule will vary by clinic and client needs, generally 8 am – 4 pm, 9 am – 5 pm, or 10 am – 6 pm. No evenings!

Compensation

• Annual salary, based on experience and qualifications.
• Potential to earn additional compensation in productivity bonuses.
• $2,500 sign on bonus paid in two installments of $1,250
