Job summary

LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. is seeking a BCaBA-certified staff member to lead frontline ABA services as part of Autism Services. The role focuses on supervising front-line staff, developing and monitoring ABA treatment plans, and providing direct therapy when needed.

You will work within a team dedicated to improving quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, reporting to the Senior Analyst/Clinical Director in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

  • BCaBA certification must be completed (CMH's)
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or related field or in grad school for BCBA/BCaBA
  • Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and related assessment/treatment
  • BCBA preferred and must be eligible to take exam within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example with timeliness in arrival, work completion and treatment plan submission.
  • Develop, monitor, and modify the implementation of treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide supervision to Behavior Technicians on ABA program delivery.
  • Provide direct therapy for clients as needed.

The (BCaBA) Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst will be a staff member in Autism Services

The major focus of this position is to provide training and support to the front-line staff implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs through supervision and program development. (BCABA) Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts are responsible for developing and supervising the implementation of behavior and treatment plans for the individuals we serve. This position will directly report to a Senior Board-Certified Behavior Analyst or Assistant Clinical Director.

Requirements
Essential Functions:
  • Lead by example, displaying timeliness in arrival, work completion and treatment plan submission.
  • Complete treatment plan reviews with insurances companies (when needed).
  • Complete assessments for assigned clients.
  • Develop, monitor, and modify the implementation of treatment plans for clients
  • Present treatment plan to the insurance provider in a timely manner to ensure appropriate authorization and/or continuation of care.
  • Provide Supervision to Behavior Technicians on all aspects of implementing high-quality ABA programs and their revisions.
  • Provide direct therapy for clients as needed.
  • Develop effective behavior plans.
  • Receive crisis prevention training and supervise the implementation of crisis prevention.
  • Assist in intakes when requested
  • Work with other Center staff and home staff to make sure the therapy location is a safe and healthy environment. Report housekeeping and/or maintenance needs as they arise to Management.
  • Provide information to the accounting department needed for billing for services provided with accuracy and within the designated time frame through EMR system.
  • Learn insurance codes and billing necessities for insurance companies, to provide accurate and update information to staff and EMR system.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with families and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with families, colleagues and other staff.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency in providing consistent high-quality services to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultural circumstances.
  • Complete parent meetings for each client as assigned by the Clinical Director or by treatment plan.
  • Meet supervision requirements per approved treatment plans.
  • Assist in, or complete interviews for new hires to ensure staff are available for clients.
  • Provide recommendations and resources for home programs and goals to encourage consistency and reinforcement for ABA programs outside of therapy.
  • Assist Lead Behavior technicians in daily coverage assignments for clients.
General Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the health & safety of individuals served
  • Represent LOGAN in a positive way in the community.
  • Serve as an advocate to protect the dignity & human rights of individuals served.
  • Serve as an example for staff in terms of good employee practices, including (but not limited to) excellent attendance and strict adherence to LOGAN policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • BCaBA certification through the BACB
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field, or in graduate school working towards BCBA, and have taken and passed the BCaBA certification exam, through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of & experience with autism spectrum disorder, including assessment and treatment
  • BCBA preferred and required asap, must be eligible to take exam based on education/graduation, and hours completion, and have plans to take the exam within 6 months
  • Excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals
  • Experience developing and conducting trainings for various audiences.
  • Ability to sit & use computer keyboard
  • Ability to kneel, bend, & reach
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to engage in crisis management during client behavior
CREDENTIALING
  • Must be certified as a BCABA by the relevant CMH's
