Job summary

AllerVie Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Physician in Allergy & Immunology to lead diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with allergic and immunologic disorders. You will develop personalized treatment plans, perform tests, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and adherence to clinical protocols.

The role emphasizes leadership in clinical protocol development, ongoing education, and participation in quality improvement and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Allergy & Immunology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology required.
• DEA registration or completion of DEA Waiver.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Prior outpatient allergy/immunology care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with allergic/immunologic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including pharmacologic therapies and immunotherapy.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests (skin testing, PFTs, lab evaluations).
• Provide education on disease management and treatment adherence.
• Collaborate with nurses, PAs, and admin staff to coordinate care.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EMR.
• Engage in quality improvement, research, and CME activities.
