Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Porter/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring all areas are well-maintained and operational. This role involves tasks such as residential painting, electrical work, and the use of tools like an ohmmeter. The Porter/Maintenance will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our facilities.

Requirements

• No trade licenses are required
• Driver's License
• Candidates must pass a background check, including BNSF eRailSafe certification
• Fluent in English
• Adhere to all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general interior and exterior maintenance, including light commercial renovations such as painting, tape and bedding, texture, door installation and repair, flooring installation, and appliance repairs in kitchens and bathrooms
• Hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, and repair doors
• Deliver and set up folding tables, chairs, signs, banners, and other equipment for conferences, food services, and special events
• Replace interior and exterior lighting
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and utility vehicles
• Make minor concrete and asphalt repairs
• Operate equipment such as street sweepers, forklifts, boom lifts, and battery-operated indoor lifts
• Escort and supervise subcontractors performing work on campus
• Perform ice and snow removal
• Respond to ongoing maintenance and repair work orders related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
• Provide excellent customer service
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy and operations
• Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance and repairs
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
• Weekends as needed
