Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for BMW, VW & Subaru Technicians located in Greenwood, IN. Technicians inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on BMW, VW, and Subaru vehicles, following manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections, as well as more complex repairs involving engines, transmissions, suspension, and electronic systems. The role involves using diagnostic tools and software, documenting repair findings, and completing work orders accurately and efficiently. Technicians collaborate with service advisors and parts department staff, maintain a clean and safe work area, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving vehicle technologies and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on BMW, VW, and Subaru vehicles using modern tools and OEM or equivalent procedures.
• Strong skills in routine maintenance, mechanical repair, and basic electrical troubleshooting in an automotive service environment.
• Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment, service information systems, and digital repair documentation tools.
• Knowledge of safety practices, shop standards, and proper use of tools and equipment in a professional service facility.
• Effective communication skills for working with service advisors, colleagues, and customers, with attention to clear documentation.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize work orders, and maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced shop.
• Completion of automotive technology training or certification (e.g., technical school, ASE certifications) preferred.
• Prior experience as an automotive technician; BMW, VW, or Subaru brand experience or factory training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets dealership and insurance requirements.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new models and technologies.
