Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) in Palo Alto to deliver hands-on nursing care in the Bone Marrow Transplant/ Cellular Therapy unit. This full-time, onsite role supports patient care through all nursing processes, patient education, and family involvement.

The position requires CA RN licensure and BLS, with a BSN preferred. Prior oncology and BMT-CT experience is highly valued, along with ambulatory experience and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of outpatient/inpatient RN experience.
• Two (2) years of oncology experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of BMT-CT experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships and provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health care team to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Teach self-care and illness prevention; adjust information based on patient needs.
• Monitor quality of healthcare practices and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Communicate effectively in all areas of practice and participate in teaching for staff and patients.
