Job summary

Capital i is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Level II in Ellsworth, ME. The role involves conducting routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment, with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot faults, document actions in the management system, and collaborate with vendors. Travel up to 15% within the NLH network may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of related experience or training.
• Experience with CMMS and asset management tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using schematics and manuals.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
• Document maintenance and repair actions in the system.
• Provide training and support to junior staff and clinical users.
