Job summary

Vanguard Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced BMET II / CE Technician II to join our team supporting Nacogdoches Medical Center – SOUTH Campus in Nacogdoches, TX.

You will perform preventive, diagnostic and corrective maintenance on biomedical and clinical equipment, collaborating with clinical staff to ensure safe, reliable patient care. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with on-call rotation and potential relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Biomedical Equipment Technician or CE experience.
• Recent hospital or healthcare BioMed/CE experience required.
• Minimum two-year Associate degree or equivalent formal education.
• On-the-job training alone not sufficient.
• Strong troubleshooting, maintenance and repair skills for biomedical equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration and electrical safety testing.
• Experience with CMMS or work-order systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical/facilities teams.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability and willingness to participate in on-call rotation; occasional weekend work.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on biomedical and clinical equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment in a timely manner.
• Perform corrective maintenance on malfunctioning equipment.
• Conduct electrical safety testing and equipment performance verification.
• Inspect, test and calibrate equipment as required.
• Respond to service requests and equipment-related needs across the hospital.
• Maintain maintenance records and service documentation.
• Use CMMS or work-order systems to document history.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and facilities teams to resolve issues.
• Work independently with minimal supervision; participate in on-call rotation.
• Support weekend or after-hours needs as needed.
• Take on additional technical projects as assigned.
