Job summary

You will perform maintenance, repairs, and clinical support across diverse equipment, participate in after-hours on-call rotations, and coordinate with vendors. Prior ICC CBET/CLES/CRES is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electronic fundamentals and electrical safety in healthcare.
• Anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology basics.
• 2–10 years experience in Biomedical Engineering equipment support.
• Preferred ICC CBET, CLES or CRES certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance on a wide variety of medical equipment.
• Repairs equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Provides clinical support for operation and safe use of devices.
• Inspects incoming equipment and documents in system; assigns maintenance.
• Participates in hospital after-hours on-call rotation.
• May supervise BMET IIs or BMET Is in areas of specialty training.
• Orders repair parts and supplies; coordinates with vendors.
• Delivers inservice education to clinicians and junior technicians.
• Coordinates and oversees outside service vendors.
• Assists in incident investigations and design modifications as approved.
• Assists senior technicians in a wide variety of duties.
