Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on clinical and non-clinical equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting devices, maintaining records, and training users as needed.
The role requires an associates degree or equivalent, CPR within 6 months of hire, and typically 2 years of electronics repair experience. On-site work at WAYNE MED with 40-hour weeks.

The Biomedical Technician I completes preventive and minor equipment repairs on various types of medical devices and non-medical equipment. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records on all preventive and corrective maintenance accomplished and inspects all rented, borrowed, or demo clinical equipment.
Associates degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, computer science or equivalent military training preferred.
CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
Two years experience in the electronics repair/testing field preferred.
Valid NC Driver’s License: No
If driving a Wayne UNC Vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
