Job summary

National Aviation Services is seeking dedicated Building Maintenance Cleaners to perform airport janitorial functions at the CVG International Airport in Erlanger, KY. The role involves cleaning rooms, offices, lobbies, rest rooms, and other areas as assigned by the Station Manager.

Candidates must have a high school education or GED and at least 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• 3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read basic words and print or speak simple sentences.
• Must obtain airport authority security badges and pass FAA background checks when applicable.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures and marble surfaces.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, mopping, and dry mopping.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstery and draperies.
• Cleans and dusts furniture and equipment.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, and woodwork; washes windows and sills.
• Transports trash to disposal area and empties wastebaskets.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies and cleans break room appliances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

CINCINNATI - BUILDING MAINTENANCE Full Time Service Worker ERLANGER, KY, US

SUMMARY:

National Aviation Services is looking for dedicated Building Maintenance Cleaners to perform airport janitorial functions at the CVG International Airport. A Building Maintenance Cleaner is responsible for cleaning rooms, offices, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, jet bridges, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, game rooms, and other work areas as assigned by the Station Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces and trim.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, mops, dry mops and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Clean/wipe down break room appliances.
• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as airports never close
• Work overtime on short notice in emergencies or when operationally necessary
• Applicable valid driver’s license as required by airport authority in order to operate a vehicle or equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school education or GED
• 3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATERIALS USED:

• Uses specialized cleaning solutions and materials; uses equipment such as ladders, mops, brushes, floor machine waxer/buffer, vacuum cleaner and brooms. May drive golf cart or pick van.
