Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required; trade school with mechanical training is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to operate power hand tools such as pneumatic grinders.
• Understanding of basic measuring devices.
• Good understanding of basic machine operations and safety awareness.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Position work piece onto table or into fixture.
• Selects electrode, gas nozzle, current, and gas pressure according to metal thickness and type and data on charts or previous runs.
• Inserts electrode and gas nozzle into holder and connects gas supply.
• Remove parts from plasma table, discard skeleton, and grind burrs.
