Job summary

Blue Kangaroo is a locally owned, employee-owned laundromat operator serving communities across Chicagoland, Southeast Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana. We are hiring an attendant to support customers, keep spaces clean, and help daily operations.

You will work as part of a team in a busy, sometimes loud environment, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring safety and quality in our services.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and reliability.
• Able to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Sense of urgency and safety orientation.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to reason and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures for Attendants.
• Meets cleaning standards for Store on a consistent basis.
• Accurate cash drawer handling.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts for Store OTC products.
• Fulfill all duties of Drop-off Laundry Service.
• Report, test and properly tag equipment out of order.
• Take ownership in our business results and your personal wellness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Duties

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to focus. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and extreme heat. Required to pass a background, physical, drug and alcohol screenings. Authorization to work in the United States. Assists customers in equipment operation, launders clothes for drop-off laundry service and performs essential duties.
