Job summary

The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care seeks a BLS Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom and skills-based training in accordance with American Heart Association standards at UCLA Health in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities include lectures and hands-on sessions, monitoring learner progress, ensuring objectives are met, and supporting program quality. This is a 25% per diem position with potential to convert to a career.

Qualifications

• AHS BLS Provider & Instructor certification required.
• EMT or Paramedic licensure currently held.
• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years EMS or hospital ED experience.
• Experience coordinating education courses; strong time management.
• Current BLS provider and instructor certifications.
• Completion of NAEMSE/NHTSA educator courses preferred.
• Knowledge of course objectives, clinical equipment, and scopes of practice.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; team player.
• Available to meet evenings, holidays, weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; variable physical demands.
