Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision and ensure patient safety and well-being. This role supports feeding, grooming, mobility, and daily activities in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent) and a BLS certification, with preferred hospital experience. Work hours are 7AM - 7PM, full-time. Applicants should embody the OneCHRISTUS competencies and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
