Job summary

Altium Packaging in Memphis, TN is seeking a Blow Molding Engineer to support our extrusion blow molding operations. You will work with Process, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Mold Change Technicians on continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities include machine setup, optimization, wall distribution, parison control, mold changeovers, and troubleshooting defects. A high school diploma or GED and blow mold manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Blow Mold Manufacturing Experience.
• Good Manufacturing Practices Root Cause Analysis Safety Awareness & Intervention Problem Solving.

Work Shift:

Salary Exempt (United States of America) The Blow Molding Engineer will work alongside our experienced Process Engineer as part of a planned technical succession, while partnering closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality and our Mold Change Process Technicians.

Essential Function - Roles/Responsibilities

• Understand and improve extrusion blow molding process on continuous extrusion shuttle machines and reciprocating screw blow molding machines.
• Machine setup and optimization.
• Wall distribution and parison control
• Repair/Adjustment and understand hydraulics and pneumatics of our blow molding machines.
• Mold setup and changeovers of blow molding machines.
• Troubleshooting quality defects.
• Root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement.

• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
