Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking an operator to ensure product safety and quality across all duties. The role includes taking readings, running the blow molder and downstream components, and performing mold changes in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously, with a focus on safety and adherence to procedures. Training on blow mold basics is provided, with evaluations to ensure competence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below: All related paperwork
• Taking readings (all bottle measurements)
• Running the blow molder and all downstream components
• Cleaning molds
• Assist with changeovers
• Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines
• Inspect work areas, and look for unsafe acts/conditions
• Effectively use verbal and written communications
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
