Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Blow Mold Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00PM–11:30PM). The role includes operating blow mold lines, training others, and maintaining SOP-based records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor conveyor lines for damaged bottles.
  • Operate bagger and debagger stations.
  • Troubleshoot minor blow mold equipment.
  • Train others on blow mold operations.
  • Maintain documentation according to SOPs.
  • Analyze process data to improve quality and throughput.
  • Suggest continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Report food safety/quality issues immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions per GMP and regulations.

2nd Shift Monday thru Friday from 3:00PM to 11:30PM.

Sign on Bonus of $1,500 for External Candidates

Rate $20.00/hr. + $1.50/hr. Shift Dif. (2nd and 3rd Shift)

GENERAL PURPOSE

  • Monitor conveyor lines for damaged bottles.
  • Operate bagger and debagger stations.
  • Troubleshoot and implement minor repairs of blow mold equipment.
  • Train others on blow Mold operations.
  • Maintain open communication with other departments, management, and employees to notify of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict efficiency.
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

  • Able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
  • Able to use company computer systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to follow directions.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
