Job summary

Recochem (Prestone division) in Alsip, Illinois is seeking a Blow Mold Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm–10:30pm). You will operate and maintain blow molding machines to produce high-quality products and ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in manufacturing with blow molding experience, plus demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

The Blow Mold Operator (2nd shift, M-F, 2:00pm – 10:30pm) is within our Auto/Car Care/Prestone division and is responsible for operating and maintaining blow molding machines to produce high-quality products. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility.

The expected compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications and is bonus eligible.

Your role at Prestone

• Operate and maintain blow molding machines
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting to ensure machines are running efficiently
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed
• Perform operator functions such as adjust machine settings and set up molds
• Comple required paperwork for accurate production
• Inspect finished products for quality control
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in in a manufacturing facility operating blow molding machines or equivalent.

• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

The production facility is within an indoor industrial environment and is not climate controlled. Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently and have the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift and know how to use a variety of hand tools and precision measurement tools.
