Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a dependable driver to operate a vehicle to pick up, deliver and properly store blood products and lightweight materials on an assigned route or as needed. This role supports ARC Blood Services and requires a valid driver's license and a clean DMV record.

Standard Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm. Pay is $18.21/hr plus applicable shift differential for nights, weekends. Emphasis on safety, reliability and teamwork in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle for delivery of blood products and materials safely and within traffic laws.
• Prepare deliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles, and maintaining route inventory.
• Document temporary storage and transportation of blood and materials as required by regulations.
• Provide customer service with a positive, proactive manner to employees.
• Maintain vehicle condition, cleanliness and check fluid levels.
• Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.
