Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is seeking a Transportation Courier to execute standard processes for hospital deliveries, donor center pickups, and supply transfers in a safe and timely manner. You will handle blood product deliveries and returns, pharmacy and lab supplies, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, MVR clearance, and strong navigation and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Ability to follow directions and read a map.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively.
Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability and motivation to cross train in Hospital Services.

Responsibilities

Executes Versiti policies and procedures for internal blood product deliveries and returns.
Ensures the safety, purity, potency and efficacy of products by following procedures.
Communicates fleet maintenance needs and completes vehicle inspections.
Organizes non-scheduled STAT deliveries and special requests.
Practices defensive driving techniques and completes safety training.
Executes customer service strategies to meet requirements.
Completes all required training on time.
Adheres to safety policies and SOPs.
Maintains vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
Completes paperwork correctly.
Demonstrates courtesy for other drivers and considers weather/road conditions.
Performs other duties as required within the scope of the job.
