Job summary

LifeStream Blood Bank is seeking a Hospital Services Technician to manage orders for blood products, package and ship shipments, and transfer inventory between distribution locations. The role requires adherence to infection control and safety procedures and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Under supervision, you will handle logistics, transport products, and support laboratory processing while ensuring high-quality customer service and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection control and blood transport procedures.
• Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; safe driving.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies.
• Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and handle blood products.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders for blood products and prepares shipments.
• Packages and delivers shipments to donor centers or laboratories.
• Transfers inventory between distribution locations and processes returns.
• Stores products properly and monitors storage location alarms.
