Job summary

Qualifications

• Understanding of laboratory testing principles and workflows across chemistry, hematology, microbiology.
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, infection control, QA/QC practices.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Ability to interpret test results and resolve discrepancies with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized tests in assigned sections per procedures and regulations.
• Analyze specimens and report test results accurately for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and instrument malfunctions.
• Follow QA, QA/QC and safety protocols including infection control.
• Maintain supplies and assist with inventory to support operations.
• Prioritize workload to meet turnaround times and CAP guidelines.
• Participate in training and orientation of new staff or students.
• Communicate test results and procedures with physicians and nurses.
