Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician in Salt Lake City. You will manufacture blood products and samples, process units into transfusable components, and leukoreduce. You will ensure accurate documentation and collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good computer skills and ability to use a wide variety of programs and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and quantity production goals with accurate documentation.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Perform data entry and operate programs for component production, labeling, storage and sample tubes.
• Analyze decisions based on visual inspection and information from other departments.
• Perform complex tasks like pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, or deglycerolizing of blood products, and pathogen reduction.
