American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Product Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Nashville. Responsibilities include scanning units, processing into transfusable components, labeling, storage, and sample tube management.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in regulatory, lab, or manufacturing settings, strong computer skills, and meticulous attention to documentation and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
• Good computer skills and ability to operate laboratory equipment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and production goals while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Perform inventory management throughout the manufacturing and distribution process.
• Enter data and operate computer programs for component production, labeling, storage, and sample tube management.
• Analyze information from other departments to meet deadlines and ensure accurate decisions.
• Perform complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, or deglycerolizing of blood products, and pathogen reduction.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors, and volunteers.
• May require a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
