American Red Cross is seeking a manufacturing team member to produce blood components, document processes, and support quality and inventory controls. You’ll work with cell processing and labeling systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast‑paced setting.
The role requires 2+ years in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment, strong computer skills, and effective communication. Weekend and holiday coverage is part of the schedule.
Manufacturing blood products and samples: scanning incoming blood units, processing them into transfusable components (red cells, platelets, plasma), performing leukoreduction, and completing all related manufacturing steps.
As a team member you will take care of your colleagues, consistently show up for every shift, give 100% commitment, and interact positively and proactively with all customers, demonstrating care and compassion.
Requires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended periods. Ability to lift, pull, push, and move objects up to 50 pounds. May work in walk‑in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. May be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.
Tues‑Sat, starting at 6:00 am or 7:00 am with rotating weekends and holidays required.
$17.50 per hour, plus applicable shift differential for working late nights, overnights, and on weekends.
