Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a phlebotomy support role to assist with donor interactions, equipment setup, and safe blood collection at donation sites. You will join a mission-driven team and participate in a robust training program that covers phlebotomy basics and safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good driving record, and the ability to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Physically able to lift and move equipment and work long hours; 60" height minimum may be required to operate Red Cross vehicles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with donors to explain impact of donation.
• Works with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensures blood collection meets goals and regulatory standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/tear down equipment at donation sites; height restriction may apply.
