WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

Utilize your healthcare and customer service skills to assist with blood collection. Responsibilities include transporting and setting up equipment at local community sites, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and adhering to safety procedures to collect and deliver lifesaving blood donations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
  1. Connect personally with donors, sharing the impact of their donations.
  2. Work with teammates to ensure a friendly, comfortable environment for donors.
  3. Maintain attention to detail to meet goals and safety standards.
  4. May operate Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown at donation sites. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches may apply for vehicle operation.
Standard Schedule (St. Louis, Missouri):
  • Variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Schedules are provided 2-3 weeks in advance.
Pay Information:
  • Starting rate: $18.87/hour.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good record; Class E license required. If you hold a Class F license, you must obtain a Class E license before starting.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods. Minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to set up and tear down mobile blood drive equipment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (e.g., CNA, MA, EMT).
  • Leadership experience.
