Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service

Join us as a Blood Collection Staff – Customer Service at American Red Cross.

Job Overview: You will utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with blood collection, collaborate with your team, create a welcoming environment for donors, and follow safety procedures. Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with opportunities to grow your healthcare career within a leading humanitarian organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect personally with donors, sharing the impact of their donations.
• Work with your team to ensure a friendly environment for donors.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet collection goals and safety standards.
• Assist with vehicle driving and setup/takedown of equipment at donation sites; a minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.

Schedule & Pay:

• Variable schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Starting pay at $18.36/hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Physical ability to lift heavy weights, stand for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours.
• Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare or phlebotomy experience (e.g., CNA, MA, EMT).
• Leadership experience.
