Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks caring individuals to join our team in Bloomington for blood collection roles. You will work with donors, set up collection sites, and ensure safety procedures are followed while collecting lifesaving donations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long hours with schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detailed oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and is safely transfused.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
