Job Summary: | Nature of work: The associate medical director of the Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Service is a permanent full-time position in the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, based at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) Blood Bank on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This position is designed to be a clinical pathology practice opportunity for an academic clinical pathologist with expertise in transfusion medicine and blood banking, including apheresis. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of clinical medicine, basic medical sciences, clinical laboratory sciences, and laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities:
The Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Associate Medical Director will work closely with the Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine Section Medical Director and other Associate Medical Directors, section Manager, Lead Technologists, Technical Specialist, Apheresis Coordinator, Laboratory Manager, and Laboratory Medical Director to ensure optimal quality and patient and donor care in a constructive atmosphere. |
Work Location: | Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado. |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: Assistant Professor - $220,000 to $260,000 Associate Professor - $260,000 to $300,000 Professor - $300,000 to $340,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
