Job summary

Ondo is seeking a Blockchain Engineer to design secure, scalable smart contract systems, including deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management across multiple chains. You will build tooling that lets non-technical teammates view and manage on-chain state, and create automated systems to reduce manual work.

You will collaborate with product, legal, compliance, web, and ops to ensure regulatorily aligned, operable contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years in blockchain engineering, ideally from another DeFi protocol live on multiple chains.
• Strong competency with Solidity; exposure to non-EVM smart contract languages a plus — particularly Solana.

Responsibilities

• Smart Contract System Design: Contribute to the architecture of smart contract systems with security, operability, and long-term maintainability in mind.
• Lifecycle Security & Operations: Ensure contract security across deployment and lifetime, including upgrade safety and administrative controls.
• Tooling & Automation: Build tooling and automation to let non-technical teammates view, monitor, and manage contracts safely.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Connect contract design to the rest of the product and ensure end-user operability.
• Collaborative Execution: Work with senior engineers and leadership on high-impact blockchain projects.
