We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading US-based company revolutionizing the blockchain ecosystem. This company provides cutting-edge, cloud-based infrastructure solutions that empower businesses and developers to build the next generation of Web3 applications. They support a high-performance global data infrastructure, handling billions of requests daily, and are backed by top investors. This is a fully remote opportunity.

About the Role:

As a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex infrastructure systems that support our client's innovative blockchain platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure while collaborating with a talented team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Research, architect, and deploy complex infrastructure systems, encompassing bare-metal servers, hypervisors, orchestrators, virtual machines, and containers.
2. Contribute to the development of standards, processes, and policies related to the design and utilization of infrastructure technologies (network, compute, storage, database).
3. Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management principles to build, deploy, and configure infrastructure components consistently and reproducibly.
4. Create comprehensive support documentation and high-level architecture diagrams.
5. Work closely with Technical Operations and Support teams to ensure seamless integration and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Systems Administration, Datacenter Operations, or similar role, with a deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems and private and public cloud technologies.
2. Proven experience managing blockchain infrastructure, including deploying and maintaining nodes, ensuring network security, and optimizing performance for decentralized applications.
3. Experience deploying and managing hypervisors, bare-metal servers, and traditional infrastructure components.
4. Strong understanding of infrastructure and application availability, including scalability, high-availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and cost analysis/optimization.
5. Experience configuring standalone and managed SQL and NoSQL database technologies (Postgres, ScyllaDB) is a plus.
6. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
7. A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, with the ability to innovate under pressure and a commitment to minimizing risks and technical debt.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and interaction with various stakeholders.

This is a fully remote work arrangement as a contractor.
