Job summary

SGI in Houston is seeking an experienced Blockchain Full-Stack Technical Lead to design, develop and deliver blockchain-based applications. This role blends hands-on Solidity development with backend and frontend engineering, cloud technologies and technical team leadership.

You will shape platform architecture, build smart contracts, integrate applications and drive secure, scalable solutions while mentoring full‑stack developers and coordinating with UX, QA and infrastructure teams.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Blockchain Full-Stack Technical Lead to support the design, development and delivery of blockchain-based applications. This role combines hands‑on Solidity development with backend and frontend engineering, cloud technologies and technical team leadership.

The successful candidate will contribute to platform architecture, smart contract development, application integration and the delivery of secure, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize smart contracts using Solidity within the Ethereum ecosystem.
• Apply smart contract security best practices and understand upgradeable contract designs.
• Develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design REST APIs and manage blockchain transaction workflows and event processing.
• Work with ReactJS applications and contribute to frontend development where required.
• Support cloud deployments and operations using Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, logging and database management.
• Participate in platform architecture, technical design and change requests.
• Lead and mentor full-stack developers, conduct code reviews and support Agile delivery.
• Coordinate with UX, QA, business analysis, infrastructure and other stakeholders.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of overall software development experience.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on blockchain development experience, with a focus on Solidity and Ethereum smart contracts.
• Strong understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem, including EVM, smart contract security and development tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, ethers.js or web3.js.
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and blockchain transaction workflows.
• Working knowledge of ReactJS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience in technical architecture, code reviews, mentoring and leading developers.

Preferred Experience

• ERC token standards, particularly ERC-1155.
• Smart contract upgradeability and optimisation.
• Azure AKS, Key Vault, Storage Accounts and GitHub Actions.
• Application security, SSO and role-based access control (RBAC).
