Job summary

Gov Services Hub is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to lead digital asset and blockchain platform development within a back-office financial markets technology team in the Pennington/Jersey City area. You will build and support digital asset platforms with blockchain network integration, focusing on enterprise-grade solutions for clearing, settlement, custody, and asset movement.

• Experience in financial services, banking, or capital markets is required.
• Proven track record in blockchain platform development for enterprise use.
• Experience with public/private blockchain connectivity and wallet/key management is preferred.

Job Summary Blockchain Engineer

• Serve as a Senior Blockchain Engineer/Developer focused on digital assets and blockchain platform development.
• Work within a back-office financial markets technology team, supporting functions like securities clearing, trade processing, settlement, and asset movement.
• Build and support digital asset platforms with integration to blockchain networks (not a generic crypto/Web3 role).
• Apply blockchain experience specifically in enterprise, financial services, clearing, settlement, custody, or asset movement environments.
• Design and implement solutions involving blockchain infrastructure, tokenization, wallet management, key management, validator/node connectivity, and blockchain network integration.
• Utilize expertise in backend/platform engineering within enterprise-level environments.
• Collaborate with team members to shape technology strategy and direction as it evolves.
• Ensure secure and efficient connectivity to public and/or private blockchain networks.
• Manage public/private cryptographic keys and wallet systems.
• Integrate blockchain platforms with traditional financial systems as needed.
• Participate in interviews (WebEx and onsite/in-person) and work onsite 4 days a week (with 1 day remote).

• Use programming skills in Java, Scala, or similar backend languages to build robust solutions.
• Support the ongoing development and maintenance of digital asset platforms.

Location

Pennington, NJ or Jersey City, NJ (onsite 4 days/week, local candidates preferred).
