TEAM, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician in Geismar, Louisiana to perform comprehensive overhauls and testing of various valves. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience and be knowledgeable in the repair of Gate, Globe, Check, and Plug valves.
Responsibilities include executing repairs in a shop and field environments, ensuring all work is compliant with quality systems. The role requires travel and adherence to safety standards.
Perform complete over‑haul and testing of all manufacturers Isolation (Block) valves to include all Gate, Globe, Check, Plug and others. Execute trouble‑shooting and complete repairs in shop and field environments. Directly reports to the Operations Manager.
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.
Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values.
Perform control valve repair in accordance to TEAM’s quality procedures.
Directly communicate with customers.
Work autonomously in valve repair process.
Ensure all diagnostic, testing, and repair reports are in compliance with quality system.
Education preferred: high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 3‑5 Years Of Experience.
Must have knowledge in repair of Gate, Globe, Check and Plug valves.
Control Valve Manufacturers Training Courses and/or certifications preferred.
Knowledge of HART Communicator or other diagnostic analyzer manufacturer required.
0 to 30% minimum travel requirement.
Position is based out of a branch or site location.
Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
