Job summary

Chaney Enterprises Roanoke, VA is seeking a Plant Labor - Block I to support concrete block production and plant operations. You will perform equipment prep, monitor production, conduct quality checks, and help with maintenance while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and front-end loaders, cleaning mixers, performing tumbler loading, and assisting with block splitting and stacking, all in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with general maintenance tasks in industrial/outdoor settings.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and enforces plant safety protocols and programs per regulations.
• Prepares equipment for plant start-up each morning and reports deficiencies.
• Performs routine maintenance on plant equipment to support operation.
• Operates forklifts and front-end loaders safely per procedures.
• Performs block handling, splitting, and storage to aid production.
