We are seeking a Block Plant Manager. The Block Plant Manager oversees all aspects of producing concrete Masonry Units (CMU), Pavers, and Segmented Retaining Wall (SRW).

Requirements

• Experience with block plant machinery such as Columbia, Tiger, Besser, Hess, or similar.

Essential Functions

1. Coordinate production schedules with department managers and leadership.
2. Maintain production levels to meet sales forecasts.
3. Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
4. Evaluate and adjust production schedules, manage resources.
5. Ensure quality assurance through testing and inspections.
6. Manage inventory and maintenance of equipment.
7. Schedule and oversee plant maintenance.
8. Track and report production data.
9. Lead research and development projects.
10. Participate in safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
11. Maintain a hands-on presence in production areas.
12. Participate in hiring and personnel management.
13. Drive process improvements.
14. Build team skills and decision-making capabilities.
15. Ensure compliance with quality standards and policies.
16. Develop and implement training programs for staff.
17. Support sales efforts and customer inquiries.
18. Oversee mold and equipment maintenance.
19. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Experience in manufacturing block and pavers.

Preferred Skills

• Basic electronics and programmable controllers knowledge.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards for concrete products.
• Associate’s degree and/or 3+ years leadership in similar industry or equivalent experience.
• Strong OSHA and safety procedures knowledge.
• Ability to train and instruct staff.
