Job summary

Lighthouse is looking for a Camp Counselor I/Co-Navigator to join our team from mid-June to mid-August 2026 in Napa, CA. This seasonal full-time position focuses on providing a fun and supportive camp experience for blind and visually impaired children. Responsibilities include supervising campers, guiding activities, and ensuring a safe environment.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, has a high school diploma, and is ideally fluent in ASL. Previous experience working with visually impaired individuals is a plus. Competitive daily rates offered, paid semi-monthly.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous work in a camp, school, or community service setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision, guidance, and organization of campers.
• Lead and support instructional activities across various program areas.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety for campers and staff.

Skills

Experience working with individuals who are blind/visually impaired

Fluent in ASL

Current First Aid and CPR certifications

Education

High School graduate

Some college education preferred
