Job summary

Honeywell in Houston, TX is seeking a Sr Blending Optimization Engineer on a hybrid schedule with up to 30% travel to customer sites. You will develop advanced blending solutions, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and provide technical guidance to resolve complex challenges, driving performance and customer satisfaction.

The role focuses on process control optimization for refinery applications, using Honeywell DCS tools and engineering software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Process Control or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Refinery Operations, Advanced Process Control and/or Process Optimization.
Blending or Off‑Site tank farm process experience.
Strong expertise in developing and implementing complex engineering applications with a focus on process control and performance optimization for oil refineries.
Proficiency with industry‑standard engineering software tools and simulation platforms relevant to application development.
Experience with Honeywell's DCS (Experion and/or Total Plant System).
Programming experience.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner without compromising quality.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability in contributing to internal and external technical documents.
Proactive approach to understanding customer needs and exceeding expectations, ensuring a consistently positive experience with every interaction.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to application engineering.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement advanced blending application engineering solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product development, sales, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and customers to resolve complex engineering challenges.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize application performance and customer satisfaction.
Lead technical discussions and presentations with customers and stakeholders to communicate solutions and project status.
