Job summary

Blount Fine Foods is hiring for a first shift processing position starting at 4:45am. You will mix, blend and cook raw ingredients and support quality and safety standards across production lines. The role requires attention to detail and team collaboration to maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• HACCP Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary processor of finished food grade products while operating large volume kettles and mixers.
• Product quality adherence: solids, verifying ingredients, instrument calibration, magnet inspections, chart recorder accuracy.
• Strictly follows blending recipe and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards.
• Ability to learn, operate and adjust multiple in-line processing equipment including kettles and mixers.
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep; collaborate with Maintenance to improve performance.
• Perform viscosity and sensory testing on batches produced.
• Work with QC and QA on new and existing processes.
• Communicate effectively within department to ensure efficient processing.
