Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc in Springdale, AR is seeking a Blender Operator to ensure the proper blend of concentrates per customer specifications while maintaining food safety and product quality. The role reports to the QA Supervisor and is based at our Springdale, Arkansas location.

The position requires following blending guidelines, performing quality checks (Brix, acid, pH, sensory), and using touch screens and handheld scanners to manage batch formulas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in mathematics.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blending guidelines as set forth on a formula sheet to adhere to company and customer specifications.
• Match color and flavor and other quality attributes of juice to control standard, weigh and pump ingredients for batch, open drums and containers for blending in batch.
• Perform quality checks before releasing batch for production such as Brix, acid, pH, sensory and color and adjust batches to meet specifications.
• Use computer touch screen to fill batch tanks with bulk ingredients.
• Use computers to research inventory needs and make batch corrections.
• Use handheld scanners to batch formulas.
• Responsible for resolving all errors related to batches.
• Perform sanitation of tanks and rooms, move empty drums/totes/bins for disposal or storage.
• Accountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements for the position.
• Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
• Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for the position.
• Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within the scope of work.
• This role will be required to taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Position Summary

The Blender will be responsible for ensuring the proper blend of concentrates is used according to customer specifications. This position ensures food safety and food quality of all products manufactured. The role reports to the QA Supervisor and is based in our Springdale, Arkansas location.

Shift

Sunday–Tuesday: 6 pm–6 am (12‑hour shifts)

Wednesday: 6 pm–12 am

Off Days: Thursday–Saturday

Minimum Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months manufacturing experience.
• Must be proficient in mathematics.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
