Job summary

Our Home is seeking a Blender to join our snacks production team in Illinois. You will weigh, batch, and mix ingredients, adhering to SOPs and safety standards to ensure high-quality output. The role supports production staff and operates on the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

Responsibilities include following GMP and SQF-aligned procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and acting as the blending protocol contact during your shift. Prior related training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production or blending is preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work in a third shift.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

We are seeking a Blender to join the team at Our Home. In this role, you will be responsible for weighing, batching, and mixing ingredients used in our production lines. You will follow all safety and quality procedures, ensure that production meets the required standards, and provide support to the production staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a thorough understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the blender position
• Comply with safety procedures and programs
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production areas and supporting equipment, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols
• Serve as a point of contact for blending protocols during shift hours when management is not present

• Complete any other duties assigned by management
• Shift: 3rd - 11:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m.

• Previous experience and training in a related field preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn and understand the blending process
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, with a focus on detail and adherence to food industry and safety standards
• Basic math skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and collaboration skills

• Physical requirements: ability to use hands for handling, reaching, and other tasks; ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell
• Occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 lbs.
• Visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes/airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
• Forklift operation is required
• All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety or plant security issues to management for appropriate action
• All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF Food Safety Code
