Job summary

Careers and Highline Warren is seeking a Blender Operator II to operate blending equipment, mix materials, and ensure product quality at our Houston facility. You will work with QA to test products, adjust parameters, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, weighing ingredients, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Overtime may be required; schedule is 6:30am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri, at 910 Rankin Road, Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Previous blender operator or related manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of blending equipment operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of measurement units and ability to perform accurate calculations.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and pallet jack license.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot blending equipment.
• Adjust blending parameters based on product specifications and quality requirements.
• Perform regular inspections of blending machinery, identifying and addressing any issues.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to conduct more comprehensive product testing.
• Assist in training Blender Operator I team members and new team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize blending processes.
• Maintain inventory of raw materials and request replenishment when needed.
• Manufacture blend batches for liquid filling line.
• Weigh, measure and mix liquid, solids and powders.
• Use scales, thermometers and refractometers.
• Be proficient in math to calculate batch requirements and tolerances.
• Document quality and operate ERP system for inventories and records.
• Work with departments, suppliers and railroad for bulk shipments.
• Draw samples for laboratory analysis and perform simple tests.
