What You'll Do

As the Laborer / Blaster Helper, you will operate auxiliary equipment and assist equipment operators and blasters in the maintenance of all equipment and the loading, mixing, unloading, and preparation of explosive products for the customer. You will perform basic maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure their reliability and safe operation. Other duties will include:

  • Read gauges and make adjustments to equipment to maintain proper performance, ensuring quality and accurate product delivery.
  • Assist Equipment Operators and Blasters at blast sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while operating equipment, and at blast sites to protect personal safety and that of others.
  • Maintain safe working conditions on and near blast sites.
  • Report all incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisors.
  • Comply with Loss Control Board mandates to support policies that improve blasting service quality and limit liability.
  • Follow relevant sections of the HSE Management System and DNNA Engineering Standards.
  • Participate in safety training and meetings to proactively support safety programs.

  • Good work habits; prior manual labor experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
